-Former student of The Richmond Academy of Dance – by Nicola Francis..
My daughter, India Amarteifio joined The Richmond Academy of Dance in 2012, following amazing reviews of the school, training and especially, Miss Harita’s choreography.
In Sam Mendes’ Charlie and the Chocolate factory , Drury lane, India played the part of Violet Beauregard, then went to roles in the BBC’s drama ‘The Interceptor’, SKY’s Gangster Granny (ballroom dancer) the tv series ‘The Tunnel‘, and The Evermoore Chronicles as ‘Lacie Fairburn‘.
Miss Harita was incredibly understanding of the commitments India had to make in order to fit dance around her lifestyle and went on to choreograph India’s audition entrance routine to the prestigious Sylvia Young Theatre School in which she won a scholarship and studied there from the age of 11-16. India attended classes with Miss Harita whilst studying and working professionally on stage and on set.
India’s most recent credits include appearing in the feature film ‘Military Wives’ starring alongside Kristin Scott Thomas and Netflix’s ‘Sex Education’ appearing with Gillian Anderson. India will forever thank Miss Harita for her on going support and effort she has shown in India’s career and dance training.
Since then, India has been focussing mostly on acting, graduating from her training at Arts Ed in 2020 and maintaining a strong multi-dance technique.
